Cake Pops

An order for a special little Princess..  I have to say though, hats off to those who are pros at cake pops. They really do take so much time!  I can see why kids love them though.  Cake on a lollipop, covered in chocolate. Even adults would be hard pressed to reject them :-)

Strawberry Shortcake and Blueberry Muffin Toppers

My neighbour ordered two toppers from me and decided she wanted them to be from the "Strawberry Shortcake" series.  They were to be given as gifts to a set of twin girls.  So here's my attempt at Strawberry Shortcake and Blueberry Muffin.  After I finished the toppers, we put the whole thing together and she was very happy with the end product (so was I!).

Jasmine's Birthday Cupcakes

An urgent order was placed for Jasmine's birthday celebration.  Client specifically requested for birds and flowers in pastel colours.  As the birthday girl is also pregnant, some eggs in nests are added.  Notice the little jasmines scattered around the cakes :-)

Lemon Meringue Tarts

Made some lemon meringue tarts today with my new blowtorch and was well pleased with the results!  Unlike the normal lemon tarts with a lemon filling that has to be baked and is hard, my little tart cases were filled with home made lemon curd.  Really complements the sweetness of the meringue and my little boy totally loved it. Yummy!

Berry Strawberry

Am going on a two week break to Perth, taking the kids home to visit family and friends.  Really looking forward to autumnal weather and lots of nature :-)  It's gonna make such a lovely change from Singapore and I simply cannot wait.

Just before I go, filling an order for strawberry and white chocolate cupcakes.  Here's the result!

Blueberry and White Chocolate Cupcakes

I tried this new recipe today and my 2 year old loved it. Kept cramming the cake into his mouth till he tried the frosting, and his eyes lightened up even more (if that was possible!).  Ate one myself. Verdict: I've died and gone to cupcake heaven! One of the best cupcakes I've had. Yum. Now, how can I keep myself away from the rest is the question..

Emma's 1 month celebration

Another dragon princess is born!  It's been a really good year for babies and lots of people I know are either pregnant, or have just delivered.  The Chinese believes that the Dragon is the biggest chinese zodiac sign, and the luckiest.  Looks like it's true so far :-)

A combination of feminine and cute cupcakes for this order.  Very happy that the client loves it!
