Leah's 1st Birthday

Off the back of the last penguin toppers order, I received an order for a cake for a 1st birthday celebration. The cake itself wasn't big enough for what I had in mind so i popped it on a larger cake board, and added everything else that couldn't fit on the cake, onto the cake board instead! Gotta admit I just love the pool where Daddy is fishing from.

Happy Birthday Leah!

Penguin Toppers

A colleague's daughter LOVES (yes, in caps) penguins. Her room has penguin soft toys as well! So mummy decided to surprise her by getting some fondant penguin toppers to decorate on her own cake.    She was kind enough to send me the completed product so here's sharing it with all of you!

Terence's 7th Birthday Cupcakes

A friend's nephew celebrated is 7th birthday and knowing he is a Doraemon fan, my friend ordered this for him. What a nice aunt! Apparently it brought a nice big smile to the happy birthday boy :-) I love hearing that!

4 Birthdays in the Same Month!

Wow, I received an order where 4 ladies in the same family all had their birthdays together, in the same month! What a big yearly celebration it must be.  Happy birthdays Annie and family!

Makayla's 1st Birthday

My niece turned 1 last week!  As my sister kept reminding me, I have only one niece, so she demanded pretty cupcakes.  Was only told to make sure there are bees in the cupcakes (tho why, I am not sure since my niece obviously doesn't know what bees are).  So anyway, here's my garden cupcake, with cream grass instead of fondant this time!

As part of the party, there was a cupcake decorating session for the kids, so I  made some mushroom toppers.

Happy birthday darling xx

Jerome Turns 2

I received an order for a 2 year old's birthday, with the brief that he likes trains and stars.  Seeing as I've mainly worked on cupcakes for little girls so far, I was quite thrilled to pick up this order.  This was the first time I made cupcakes that had to be put together to create a final picture.

Ella's 3rd Birthday

A dear friend's daughter turned 3 in August and I made her her favourite character, Miffy! Little Ella likes bears as well, hence the mix.  Really can't believe how fast time flies.  I first met Ella's mummy what, 6 years ago? I'd just moved back to Singapore after more than 10 years away.  I can still remember our crazy days, working and partying till absolutely crazy hours.  And yet, we are all mothers now. What a change!

Happy Birthday Ella!

Alyson's 6th Birthday

An order was placed for a client's 6 year old daughter, for a celebration in her school.  Two separate themes were requested, one for the girls (Disney Princesses), and one for the boys (Ben10).  I didn't have much idea about Ben10 prior to this, but now I know all about the little boy who can turn into monsters via his watch.  Sorry, Omnitrix. Haha.  It was a good learning process and I think I have to make a guilty admission: toppers for girls are just so much more interesting and colorful than those for boys!

Happy Birthday Princess Alyson, hope you have a blast!

Jasmine's Birthday Cupcakes

An urgent order was placed for Jasmine's birthday celebration.  Client specifically requested for birds and flowers in pastel colours.  As the birthday girl is also pregnant, some eggs in nests are added.  Notice the little jasmines scattered around the cakes :-)
